Camp Guardian - A Special Needs Summer Camp - About us

A scenic view of mountains under a clear blue sky with lush green trees in the foreground.

Our Philosophy

At Camp Guardian, our philosophy is rooted in creating a fun, safe, and enriching environment where every camper feels valued and included. We support a wide range of physical and developmental abilities, ensuring that each camper’s unique needs are thoughtfully met.

We are committed to fostering a strong sense of belonging, where every individual is encouraged to participate, connect, and thrive. Above all, our goal is to create meaningful, lasting memories for each of our campers as well as experiences that inspire confidence, joy, and a true sense of community.

A serene landscape featuring mountains, a calm lake, and clear blue skies.

Our Staff

Camp Guardian is a not-for-profit 501(c) organization governed by dedicated leadership and supported by committed volunteers. Our camp is staffed primarily by individuals affiliated with the Missouri National Guard (MONG), including current service members, retirees, and their family members, friends, and acquaintances.

This unique community of volunteers brings a shared spirit of service, teamwork, and care to everything we do. We consider it an extraordinary privilege to serve our campers, and we are deeply honored to create an environment where they are celebrated, supported, and valued.
